How to Import Your Watchlist from Finviz, TradingView, TC2000, or Koyfin into EQTRun

By EQTRun · · 4 min read

Already have a watchlist on another platform? You can bring it into EQTRun in under a minute. Once imported, EQTRun will monitor every stock on your list daily for 24 technical signals and deliver the results to your inbox.

Here is how to export your tickers from each platform and upload them to EQTRun.

From Finviz

Finviz is US-only, so all tickers are plain symbols like AAPL, MSFT, NVDA.

If you have Finviz Elite: 1. Go to the Screener and apply your filters. 2. Click the Export button at the top right of the results table. 3. This downloads a CSV file. The first column contains ticker symbols. 4. In EQTRun, go to Create Screen and select Upload Custom List. Upload the CSV file directly.

If you are on Finviz Free: 1. Run your screen on Finviz. 2. Select all ticker symbols from the results table and copy them. 3. In EQTRun, go to Create Screen and select Upload Custom List. Paste the tickers into the text area and click Parse Tickers.

Finviz displays 20 tickers per page on the free plan, so you may need to copy from multiple pages. Here is a video walkthrough of the Finviz export process.

From TradingView

TradingView exports tickers in EXCHANGE:SYMBOL format (e.g., NASDAQ:AAPL, TSE:7203, LSE:VOD). EQTRun handles this format automatically.

  1. Open your Watchlist in TradingView.
  2. Click the Advanced view button at the top of the watchlist panel.
  3. In the quote table dialog, click the Export list button to download a .txt file.
  4. In EQTRun, go to Create Screen and select Upload Custom List. Upload the file.

EQTRun will strip the exchange prefix and match each ticker to its database. NASDAQ:AAPL becomes AAPL, TSE:7203 becomes 7203.T, HKEX:0700 becomes 0700.HK, and so on.

You can also copy tickers directly from TradingView's watchlist panel and paste them into EQTRun. The comma-separated EXCHANGE:SYMBOL format is supported. See the TradingView help page on importing and exporting watchlists for more details.

From TC2000

TC2000 does not have a direct CSV export, but you can copy symbols from any watchlist.

  1. Open your WatchList in TC2000.
  2. Select all symbols in the list (click the first symbol, then Shift+click the last one).
  3. Copy the symbols (Ctrl+C).
  4. Paste them into a text file or spreadsheet and save as CSV. Or paste directly into EQTRun.
  5. In EQTRun, go to Create Screen and select Upload Custom List. Paste the tickers or upload the file.

TC2000 uses standard US/Canadian symbols that EQTRun recognizes directly. See the TC2000 help page on copying watchlist symbols for step-by-step instructions.

From Koyfin

Koyfin lets you export screener results and watchlists as CSV.

  1. In the Screener or My Watchlists, run your screen or open your list.
  2. Click Export and choose CSV.
  3. In EQTRun, go to Create Screen and select Upload Custom List. Upload the CSV.

Koyfin uses standard ticker symbols that EQTRun recognizes directly. Here is a video walkthrough of the Koyfin export process.

From Bloomberg Terminal

If you work with Bloomberg, you can copy a list of tickers in Bloomberg format and paste them directly into EQTRun. The parser recognizes Bloomberg notation:

  • AAPL US Equity becomes AAPL
  • 7203 JP Equity becomes 7203.T
  • MC FP Equity becomes MC.PA
  • VOD LN Equity becomes VOD.L
  • 005930 KS Equity becomes 005930.KS

Just paste the full Bloomberg tickers into the text area. No reformatting needed.

From Your Broker

Most brokers (Interactive Brokers, Schwab, Fidelity, etc.) let you export your portfolio holdings as a CSV file. These typically contain a column with ticker symbols. Upload the file to EQTRun and the parser will extract the ticker column automatically.

What Happens After Import

Once your tickers are parsed, EQTRun shows you which ones were matched to its database of 30,000+ securities across 70+ global exchanges. You then select which signals to track, and the screen is ready.

From that point on, EQTRun checks your entire list every day and flags any stock that triggers a signal. Golden Cross, MACD crossover, Bollinger Band breakout, volume surge — all computed automatically and delivered in a single email report.

No need to check charts one by one. No need to set up individual alerts. Upload your list once and let EQTRun do the monitoring.
